This Web-Server and several features the compute domain as well as a switch-based fast Ethernet LAN were created during the year 1999, when Prof. Giridhar U. Kulkarni headed the laboratory.

The pages that you are viewing and the underlying backbone of the Computer Laboratory were made possible through the voluntary efforts of scores of individuals of our Centre. We seek your cooperation in our efforts to make your computing and research environment, smooth and efficient.

Several of the cutting edge programmes of the Computer Laboratory depend crucially on open source or free software. The computer laboratory acknowledges the open source community.
