Our research activities at JNCASR encompass both experimental and numerical/theoretical aspects of multiphase flows. In particular, our focus is on understanding the evolution of different types of hydrodynamic instabilities such as Rayleigh-BĂ©nard-Marangoni convection and Faraday instability in micro-gravity conditions. We also work on predicting the interaction between acoustics and fluid interfaces in microchannels.

Apart from a 16-node compute cluster, a few of the facilities (experimental) that are available in the group are as follows:
