The International Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter (I2CAM) at University of California, Davis & Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore are pleased to announce a week and half long residential School and Conference on “Emergent Properties and Novel Behavior at the Nanoscale.”

The topics to be covered in the School and Conference are:
1. Multifunctionality in hybrid biological- nanostructured materials
(DNA electronics, spintronics and generalized charge transfer)

(Nanomagnetism and negative magnetization, Multiferroics)
3. Validation of computational nano science by advanced characterization techniques
(SERS, Brillouin spectroscopy, various microscopies and lithographies)
