Faculty Positions in the Evolutionary and Organismal Biology Unit (In the areas of ecology, evolutionary biology or animal behaviour)
Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) a premier research institution under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, invites applications for the position of Faculty Fellow (equivalent to an Assistant Professor) in the areas of ecology, evolutionary biology or animal behaviour.
Candidates must have a good Ph. D withatleast 2-3 years of post-doctoral experience and a proven track record of research in the broad areas mentioned above. Candidates engaged in primarily experimental or theoretical research withdemonstrated ability to think independently, formulate their own research questions relating to the functioning of organisms in an ecological context and/or how such functionality evolves will be preferred. A strong interest in and passion for teaching and mentoring is a prerequisite. The selected candidate is required to teach at least one basic and one advanced course each year, and a laboratory course every semester.
