DST-NWO Postdoctoral Position

A postdoctoral position is available at JNCASR for conducting research focused on computational design of self-assembled structures for nanophotonic and plasmonic materials using optimization and data science approaches. The expected duration of the position is two years and the position is expected to be available by the end of the summer 2017. The position is part of a joint project supported by a DST-NWO project between Srikanth Sastry (JNCASR) and Marjolein Dijkstra (Utrecht). Further details of ongoing research at JNCASR may be found at http://www.jncasr.ac.in/sastry and about the planned research by email inquiry. Suitable candidates are expected to have interests broadly in statistical mechanics, soft matter and condensed matter physics, materials, with experience in computational investigations involving simulations and optimization methods.

Applications including a CV, a list of publications, a brief description of past research and future interests should be sent by email to sastry@jncasr.ac.in. Applicants should also arrange for two letters of recommendation to be sent directly to the same address. Review of applications will be taken up by the end of June 2017, and will continue till the position is filled.
