Transport in Bangalore:
The main mode of transport in Bangalore is by auto-rickshaws. The minimum fare an auto-rickshaw charges is Rs.12 (for 2 Km). After that for each Km they will charge you Rs.6. On reaching your destination pay exactly the same amount shown in the meter. Since the auto-rickshaw fares had been recently revised, there are auto-rickshaws with the old meter. For those cases the meter start at Rs.10. For these auto-rickshaws you need to pay 1.2 times the value shown in the meter. Hence please check the type of meter as soon as you ride an auto-rickshaw. If you travel in an auto between 10 P. M. at night and 5 A. M. in the morning, you have to pay 1.5 times the normal fare.
