The Asian Consortium for Computational Materials Science
(ACCMS) has been
set up to nurture and promote research and developmental activities on
computational materials science in Asian countries. The first ACCMS
conference is planned to be held during Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, 2001 at
Bangalore, India. It is intended to bring together researchers in Asia who
are actively involved in the development of computational methods and
their applications to materials phenomena occuring at several different
length and time scales. A few leading researchers from the rest of the world
will be invited to facilitate multi-lateral exchange of ideas.
The conference will be hosted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced
Scientific Research, the
Indian Institute of Science and
the Materials Research Society of India.
