Applications are invited for the temporary position of Researcher sanctioned in the sponsored project titled "Crypto-Division: Discovering noncanonical mechanisms of genome transmission in the human fungal pathogen Cryptococcus neoformans” under the Principal Investigator Prof. Kaustuv Sanyal, MBGU Unit, JNCASR, Jakkur, Bengaluru, 560 064.
Essential Qualification: PhD in Life Sciences with 3-5 years of post-PhD research experience (Preferably: Yeast Biology)
Desirable Qualifications: Expertise in handling pathogenic fungi, experimental evolution, bioimaging techniques, and yeast molecular biology methods, including chromatin immunoprecipitation. Expertise in genomics will be given preference.
