Applications are invited for the position of “One” Senior Research Fellow to work on "Exploring the Crosstalk between Autophagy and Apoptosis in Bemisia tabaci and Its Role in the Translocation and Transmission of Tomato Leaf Curl Virus" under the guidance of Principal Investigator Prof. Ravi Manjithaya , Molecular Biology and Genetics Unit (MBGU), JNCASR, Bangalore 560 064.
Senior Research Fellowship [SRF] (Remuneration Rs. 42,000 plus 27% HRA).
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences/ Post Graduate degree in the professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following a.) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship(LS) and GATE b.) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Compulsory : minimum two years of research experience after the completion of M.Sc. degree
Desirable Qualification: · Hands-on experience in Western blotting, autophagy assays, and autophagy pathway analysis. · Experience in protein isolation and quantification, preferably from insect tissues · Experience in molecular biology techniques (RNA isolation, PCR/qRT-PCR) and data analysis.
