Bani Kanta Sarma

Dr Sarma obtained his PhD from the Department of Inorganic & Physical Chemistry, IISc Bangalore. He then moved to the United States to pursue my postdoctoral studies at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and The Scripps Research Institute Florida. After coming back to India, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Shiv Nadar University. Later on he moved to Bangalore and joined the New Chemistry Unit at JNCASR. He is interested in the study of noncovalent interactions and their role in determining conformational preference of small molecules and proteins. He is also interested to develop chemical methods to produce artificial collagen mimics.
