Acharya Yash Sanjay pursuing Ph.D.
Education:
B.Sc. (Chemistry) - Ramnarain Ruia College, Mumbai
M.Sc. (Chemistry) - New Chemistry Unit, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research
Research Interests:
Antimicrobial resistance, Small-molecular antimicrobial peptide mimics, chemistry of infection, bacterial persistence, quorum sensing!
Yash Speaks:
Born and brought up in आमची Mumbai, the City of Dreams, now a resident of ನಮ್ಮ Bengaluru, I've embarked on this adventure of trying to understand pesky little bacteria, and finding out newer ways to kill them! Much like my home cities, I enjoy pursuing a diverse assortment of interests, apart from antimicrobial science, such as Marathi poetry, foreign and defence policy, Hindustani classical music and theatre. A large cup of invigorating Chai or filter coffee, and a regular dose of captivating fiction and non-fiction titles keep me sane through the journey!
