Dr. Arpita Paul

I am particularly interested in understanding the interplay between several competing interactions involving spin, charge and lattice degrees of freedom and the emerging phase diagram in functional materials with different extent of electron correlations.

Dr. Durgesh Kumar Sharma

My current research interest lies in predicting the topological properties of 2D materials.

Dr. Matukumilli V D Prasad

Focusing on the interface of phonon dynamics and mechanical engineering, my research aims to elucidate some of the fundamental thermal energy transport & dissipation mechanisms at micro- and nano-meter scales by using the classical MD, first-principles DFT and machine learning based methods. I am particularly interested in

— Anharmonic phonon-phonon interactions in complex crystalline materials

— Finite-temperature lattice dynamics simulations

— Friction and thermophoresis in carbon nanotubes, graphene and 2D materials
