The "Graduate Research Internship Program" (GRIP), is designed for bright,
final year B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent, M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent, Masters in
Science, Integrated M.Sc, B.S-M.S, or MBBS to carry out their final year
research project work at JNCASR. The project work to be carried out should
form part of the academic requirements. The duration of the project work will
be for a semester or for an extended duration of up to 1 year depending upon
the academic requirement.

to find out faculty member working in the area of the research in which the
student wants to carry out project work. The student may contact the concerned
faculty member and email a duly filled-in application for consideration and if
the concerned faculty member is willing to accommodate the student's request,
the F E Office will send the offer letter to the student accordingly.

GRIP guidelines:
- The GRIP is open throughout the year.

The eligibility criteria include a minimum aggregate score of 65 percent
in core subjects except in language subjects(Kannada, Hindi, English
.etc.) in the 10th and 12th standards.

The duration of the project work will be for a semester or for an extended
duration of up to 1 year depending upon the academic requirement.

Accommodation will not be provided by JNCASR. However, a database of
places (PGs) near JNCASR where accommodation may be available, will be
provided on request.

The Selected students will be charged an internship fee of Rs. 5,000/- per
semester. Additional fees, if any for using chemicals, regents, etc. In
the lab, will be charged as decided by the guide/chair of the unit.

No TA/DA and fellowships will be paid by JNCASR for undertaking project
work.

The medical facility at Dhanvantri (Health Centre) may be availed for
consultation only. Suitable medical insurance should be taken to cover any
unforeseen circumstances during the internship period.

The library, dining hall facilities, etc. may be availed on payment basics
as applicable.

The students will be governed by the rules and regulations as applicable
to JNCASR students/R&D staff about discipline, ethical practice, etc.

On successful completion of the given project, students will be issued a
project completion certificate and the project work carried out by
students at JNCASR may further be evaluated by the concerned
college/Institution for the award of mark/grade for the project as per its
norms.
