76th Independence Day Celebration
76th Independence Day Celebration at JNCASR
With the hoisting of the national flag at JNCASR, the JNCASR community celebrated the 76th Independence Day in large numbers and made the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebration eventful at the Centre. Several events were organized by the JNCASR Administration to mark the occasion, including the following:
- An Online Essay Competition on the theme ‘Role Responsibilities of Science Technology in Nation Building’ was organized.
- As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Centre hoisted the national flag at all the gates of its main campus, as well as on other campuses and prominent buildings from 13th to 15th August 2022. More than 150 flags were distributed to encourage hoisting of the national flag at homes. The main entrance and select buildings were decorated with Tricolor lights.

- The Sports Committee organized a 5 Km Freedom Run on 14th August 2022, with more than 160 students, faculty, and staff members participating.
On 15th August 2022, Prof. G.U. Kulkarni, President, JNCASR, hoisted the national flag at the Centre in the presence of officials, students, and family members. This was followed by a speech from Prof. Vidhyadhiraja N., Dean, Fellowships Extension Programmes. Winners of the online essay competition and Freedom Run were felicitated during the occasion. The event concluded with an enthralling performance of patriotic songs by the students' Cultural Group.
