Electrocatalysis

The lab focuses on development of efficient electrocatalyst for electrochemical reactions:

  • Fuel cell technology (HER, OER, ORR and UOR (Urea electro-oxidation)
  • Electrochemical CO2 reduction to value added products.
  • Ammonia synthesis by electrochemical NO3 reduction
  • Electrochemical N2 reduction reaction

In our recent work on electrochemical Oxygen Evolution Reaction, we have demonstrated an excellent electrochemical activity for high surface area nanoporous bimetllic phosphide NiCoP.

In electrochemical Nitrogen Reduction Reaction, we have studied the pitfalls in quantifying ammonia produced during the reaction.
