Ravi Manjithaya received his Ph.D. in Post-transcriptional Gene Regulation from Indian Institute of Science (Advisor: Prof. Rajan Dighe). He completed postdoctoral training in autophagy related pathways at University of California, San Diego (Mentor: Prof. Suresh Subramani) before joining JNCASR in 2011.
He was a Wellcome Trust-DBT Intermediate Fellow (2011-2016). His lab studies mechanisms governing autophagy and related pathways in health and disease. Awards include the CDRI Award 2020 for Excellence in Drug Research (Life Sciences) and the S.Ramachandran–National Bioscience Award for Career Development (DBT, India).
