The aim of this programme is to help school students (class XI and XII) learn
about the latest advances in science and engineering and give them a taste of
life in research. It also gives research scholars at the Ph.D. and
postdoctoral levels the opportunity to participate in educational programmes
and inculcates a sense of responsibility towards education. Each school
student spends a day of individual interactions with a research scholar in a
scientist’s group observing and/or participating in ongoing research or
discussions. Under this programme, so far 434 students and 33 teachers from
Jawahar Navodayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas from Karnataka have benefitted.
