Diwakar Seyyanur Venkatesan

Dr. Diwakar S. Venkatesan obtained his PhD from IIT Madras in 2012. Subsequently, he was a post-doctoral fellow at the 'Institut d'Electronique de Microélectronique et de Nanotechnologie' (IEMN - CNRS) in Lille, France. For a short period, he worked at the Global Research Centre of GE India.
Dr. Diwakar joined JNCASR in 2016 and his research activities encompass both experimental and numerical/theoretical aspects of multiphase flows. In particular, he focuses on understanding the evolution of different types of hydrodynamic instabilities such as Rayleigh-Bénard-Marangoni convection and Faraday instability in micro-gravity conditions. In addition, his group focuses on acousto-fluidic interactions & complex fluids and also actively work on developing new computational algorithms for accurately predicting multiphase flows.
