National Science Day 2022 - JNCASR
As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), JNCASR is celebrating National Science Day-2022 on Monday, 28th February 2022.
About 250 students and teachers from various colleges and schools have been invited to participate in the celebrations.
Event Highlights
The program will begin with an address by Bharat Ratna Prof. C. N. R. Rao.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore:
- High-quality research facilities
- Live experimental demonstrations
- State-of-the-art chemical heritage exposition
- Bharat Ratna Prof. C. N. R. Rao's archives and gallery
Additionally, there will be on-the-spot quiz competitions with exciting prizes for the winners.
Participants will be guided by research scholars throughout the event.
A Day of Learning and Inspiration
The day-long event promises to be fun-filled, exciting, and inspiring, encouraging young minds to explore the wonders of science.
The C.N.R. Rao Hall of Science and Education Technology Unit (ETU), in association with Fellowships and Extension Programmes Office, JNCASR, organized National Science Day 2023. This year's theme was "Global Science for Global Wellbeing". The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. G. U. Kulkarni, President, JNCASR. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. T Govindaraju, Chair, ETU, JNCASR.
The celebration was marked with enthusiastic participation of students and researchers of JNCASR and about 130 students and 8 teachers from various schools and colleges from Bangalore. The day-long program included a special lecture by Dr. Jaishri Sanwal Bhat, titled "The Rocks: Tangible Trace of The Earth's Past", lab visits, experimental demonstrations, poster/video presentations, and visits to the Chemical Heritage Exposition and Bharat Ratna Galleries and archives.
