76th Independence Day Celebration

JNCASR

With the hoisting of the national flag at JNCASR, the JNCASR community celebrated the 76th Independence Day in large number and made “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebration eventful at the Centre. There were several events organised by JNCASR Administration to mark Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, these include the following:

  • An Online Essay Competition on the theme ‘Role & responsibilities of Science & Technology in nation building’ was organised
  • As part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Centre has hoisted the national flag at all the gates of its main campus and also on its other campuses and on few prominent buildings from 13 to 15 August 2022 to mark the 75 years of India’s Independence. Also, more than 150 flags were distributed to encourage hoisting of the national flag on houses. The main entrance and select buildings were decorated with Tricolour lights

  • The sports committee organized 5 Km Freedom Run on 14th August 2022 in which more than 160 students, faculty and staff members have participated.

On 15th August 2022, Prof. G.U. Kulkarni, President, JNCASR hoisted the national flag at the Centre in the presence of officials, students, and family members. It was followed by speech by Prof Vidhyadhiraja N., Dean, Fellowships & Extension Programmes. The winners of the online essay competition and Freedom Run were felicitated during the occasion. It was followed by an enthralling performance of patriotic songs by the students’ Cultural Group.
