ICMR Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (Remuneration Rs. 56,000/- plus 30% HRA)
Essential Qualification: 1. Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees (Life Sciences or any Biology streams) or 2. For Engineering - Four Years Graduate Degree.
Desired Qualification:
Position 1: Candidates with prior research experience with Molecular cloning techniques like Site-directed mutagenesis, Cell Biology studies like Immunofluorescence assays, high-resolution fluorescence microscopy, advanced image analysis to study vesicular trafficking pathways, animal tissue culture experience, biochemical techniques such as Western Blotting will be strongly preferred. Candidates with strong verbal and written communication with experience in teamwork will be given preference.
Position 2: Candidates with prior research experience with aseptic C. elegans culture and maintenance, conducting lifespan assays, brooding capacity assessment, high resolution fluorescence imaging, drug screening, setting up crosses, genotyping and molecular cloning, will be preferred. Experience with C. elegans behavioral studies is preferential. Knowledge about microfluidicsbased imaging will be preferred.
