Applications are invited for the temporary position of R&D Assistant / Research Associate to work under the guidance of Dr. Medha Dandu, Chemistry and Physics of Materials Unit, JNCASR, Jakkur, Bengaluru, 560 064.
Desirable Qualification:
Ph.D. in Physical Sciences or Engineering fields relevant to Optics, Electronics, or Material Science.
Strong academic background in one or more of the following areas:
- Solid-state physics
- Semiconductor devices
- Fundamentals of optics
Hands-on expertise in one or more of the following:
- 2D material exfoliation and assembly of 2D heterostructures
- Operation and maintenance of optical instruments
- Electrical and optical characterization techniques
- Material characterization methods
- Nanofabrication processes
Other desirable skills (not mandatory): Experience in cleanroom/laser lab, programming skills (Python, LabVIEW, Origin, MATLAB) for data analysis and hardware interfacing, strong hands-on experience with instrumentation and experimental setups. Ability to independently manage and execute experimental tasks. Enthusiasm for collaborating in a multidisciplinary research environment.
