National Panchayati Raj Day 2026

In compliance with the directions received from the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru, organized National Panchayati Raj Day 2026 on Friday, 24 April 2026.

The programme was held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Madan Mohan Malviya Auditorium, Hall of Science, JNCASR, Jakkur, Bengaluru‑64.

Representatives from the Gram Panchayat Development Office of  Dasanapura, Bengaluru North Taluk participated in the programme. This was followed by an interactive session between the Panchayat Development Officers and senior officers of JNCASR led by Accounts Officer Mr Sampad Patra. This enabled meaningful exchange of ideas on the role of science and technology in rural development. PDOs visited the Science galleries and the Chemical Heritage Exposition at JNCASR.
