Outreach Activities

ETU organises the science outreach programs by sending out invitations to schools/colleges through the facilitators or directly. The Hall of Science has a select group of Resource people who are conveners of the various programs conducted at the Madan Mohan Malaviya Amphitheatre. The lectures are arranged by conveners selected for each program. These programs are half-day programs in which at least three lectures and sometimes demonstrations of experiments are conducted. Although these programs focus on the higher Classes (i.e. X, XI, XII) we do organize and conduct programs for young students.

The lecture programs organized and conducted by the CNR Rao Hall of Science and Education Technology Unit at the Madan Mohan Malaviya Amphitheatre, CNR Rao Hall of Science, JNCASR.

In these programs which is usually on a particular subject (i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology etc) all the three lectures deal with different aspects of the subject. Eminent scientists involved in research in frontier areas from JNCASR, IISc, RRI and various other institutes across the country are invited to deliver lectures and conduct experiments/demonstrations. The program ends with an interactive Question and Answer session where participants are encouraged to take part by writing in /posing their questions regarding any of the lectures during the program. A working lunch is provided to all the participants of these programmes. All the arrangements from transportation of participants/speakers, Tea/Lunch are carried out by the Administration of JNCASR.
