International Women's Day celebration 2026
As part of the International Women’s Day Celebrations, Centre organized several engaging activities from 05th March to 09th March 2026. This year’s theme was “Give to Gain.”
On Thursday, 05th March 2026 a talk on Financial Empowerment at Home was delivered by Prof. Ranjani Vishwantha. During the session, she organized an engaging activity called the “Walk of Privilege”, participants were asked a series of questions related to opportunities and challenges in life. The activity helped us to illustrate how different circumstances and privileges shape our experiences and opportunities.
On Thursday, 06th March 2026, an informative talk on Women’s Health and Career Sustainability was conducted by Dr. Sundari N., Gynecologist from Ramaiah College. During the session, she highlighted several important health concerns affecting women, including anemia, breast cancer, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), HIV, and hepatitis, hepatitis, emphasizing the importance of early awareness and timely medical care.
On Sunday, 08th March 2026, a Cricket Tournament was organized by the Sports Committee to encourage enthusiastic participation and foster community bonding. The event also aimed to encourage women to actively participate in sports, promoting teamwork, confidence, and a spirit of inclusivity.

The concluding programme included:
- Screening of a visual compilation highlighting women across JNCASR
- Reflections on the week’s engagements
- Acknowledgment of campus initiatives during National Science Day
- Prize distribution for the cricket match
