Vacancy for Research Associate (Postdoc) Position (Centre Funded)

Applications are invited for a temporary position of Research Associate (Centre funded) to work under the guidance of Prof. Meheboob Alam, Engineering Mechanics Unit, JNCASR, Jakkur PO, Bengaluru- 560064.

Essential Education Qualification:

PhD in Applied Mathematics,  or, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering. PhD thesis work must be related to theoretical/computational work in the broad field of fluid mechanics and nonlinear dynamics.

Desirable Qualification:

(1) Sound knowledge on theoretical and computational aspects of hydrodynamic stability and bifurcation theory.
(2) Weakly nonlinear analysis via Ginzburg-Landau-type equations
