Qualifications: M.Sc in Biotechnology from University of Pune

Research Interest: My research interests lie in understanding neuronal autophagy with an aim to unravel the mechanisms that govern the spatial compartmentalization of the same in neurons. I work with Drosophila as a model organism to decipher the cellular pathways that direct autophagosome biogenesis in the neuromuscular junctions, a defect in which is proposed to be causative towards neurodegenerative/ neuromuscular disorders.

I am a trained vocalist, and in my free time, I like to sing. Travelling, reading and yoga are my other passions.

Research Interest: Interested in studying mitochondrial dynamics and molecular level alterations in the mitophagy pathway during mitochondrial diseases.

Qualifications: B.Sc. in Life Sciences, Presidency University, Kolkata.

Research Interest: I am interested in studying the process of mitophagy and its disruption in a spectrum of disorders called "mitochondrial disorders". My project is specifically focused on mutations in nuclear encoded genes critical for mitochondrial function and their respective effects on mitochondrial quality control.

Hobbies: I am an avid listener of Hindustani classical music. I am a Kathak dancer and in my free time , you would find me choreographing classical pieces with other fellow dancers in the lab.  New food joints and new cuisines are my kind of thing.
