Integrated B.S. (Research)- Ph.D. Programme
Beginning in AY 2026–27, JNCASR will introduce a new flagship programme: the Integrated B.S. (Research)–Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Sciences. This programme is designed to provide high-impact training through rigorous coursework, advanced research exposure, and skill development, aligned with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
1. Eligibility for Integrated B.S. (Research)- Ph.D. Programme
- Candidates with a 3 yrs B.Sc. or having completed 120 credits in a Bachelors programme with minimum 55 % marks in areas as listed in Table 2 are eligible to apply.

2. Selection procedure:
- Candidates are short-listed for an interview based on their score in the national exam(s) like JAM 2026/CUET 2026 /JNCASR 2026 entrance exam (based on Unit criteria) and academic performance. The selection to the program is based on the performance in the interview.
Note: Interviews shall be held only in-person.
3. Progression & Exit Pathways :

Degrees awarded : At the end of
- 1st year: Bachelor of Science (Research)- B.S.( Res.) in specific subject areas
- 2nd year: Master of Science- M.S. in specific subject areas
- 4th year or later: Ph.D.
4. Scholarships/Fellowships:
- Only students continuing to the Ph.D programme shall receive suitable fellowship based on Centre's norms, during the Ph.D tenure.
5. Medical / Insurance facility:
- Applicable as per norms of the Centre. The students have access to on-campus doctors, physiotherapists, counsellors, as well as to medical facilities elsewhere.
6. Travel grants:
- Ph.D students will receive travel grant upto Rs.1,00,000/- as per Centre’s norms, to attend international/national conferences.
